RRB ALP 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for the RRB ALP examination are framed by the Railway Recruitment Boards to ensure that candidates possess the required technical background, age suitability and medical fitness for the role of Assistant Loco Pilot. From an educational perspective, candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) along with ITI certification in relevant trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Turner or equivalent trades recognized by NCVT/SCVT. Alternatively, candidates holding a Diploma or Degree in Engineering in disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Automobile Engineering are also eligible.
